Make-up Lessons
We understand life happens. At Dan Forbes Music (DFM) students have the option to schedule a make-up lesson(s) the same week a lesson is missed. Make-up Lessons may be scheduled on Saturday mornings via the automated schedule calendar linked here. Not available Saturdays? Contact Dan Forbes to request an alternate make-up schedule.
Recitals
Public performance is an essential confidence-building activity that supports students in overcoming performance and social anxieties. Dan Forbes Music (DFM) offers recital opportunities for students of all levels and ages. Instructors work diligently with recital students to ensure they are prepared and excited for the performance opportunity.
Festival
We hold an annual music festival for our students at Western Michigan University. Students may participate in several performances, topic workshops, and other festival events. Student performances are ranked and are recognized for their accumulated toward a trophy.

Practice Technology
DFM students are encouraged to use technology as part of their practice time. Students have great success learning to read music and enjoy practice time when using technology and games. DFM provides:

Small Group Workshops
Open your child's creativity with songwriting workshops or explore mechanical aptitude with piano mechanics. Adults can enjoy playing duets with one another. These workshops are a unique peer learning opportunity whereby similar skill levels can benefit from each other's experiences and feedback.
